This month sees the Cork Vision Centre at St Peter’s hosting ‘Her Story’. This is an award-winning international photography project undertaken by community development organization Plan Ireland as part of the global ‘Because I am a Girl’ campaign. The project profiles the daily lives of girls in Ireland and Sierra Leone. Featuring photographer Jason Clarke, the images highlight the challenges faced by girls around the world – simply because they are girls. Captivating, inspirational and thought-provoking, this exhibition shines a light on the girls, by looking into their world – from the bustling side-streets of Freetown to the lush farms of Meath.
