Working from photography of my 11 year old daughter being prepared for an Irish dance competition. These artworks are painted using acrylics, washy and diluted, on paper. It is my intention to open a discourse on the objectification of young girls and society's view on how the tradition of Irish dance has evolved today. While also capturing a private moment between a mother and her child.
