My current practice revolves around the idea of excess and explores various uses of imagery and compositions. The refined subject matter chosen for each piece hovers in front of an organically chaotic background creating a sense of balance. There is a somewhat sardonic atmosphere across the work, as if to have an attitude towards the viewer. The ambience of teenage angst may awaken memories of a younger self with drawings dispersed across their schoolbooks. For some, these paintings and their oddly familiar imagery might even have a nostalgic feel to them.
