My project is a non-linear animated short. This 4-minute film focuses on the experience of autistic girls in an adverse society. The film was mostly made using Adobe Photoshop and TVPaint. A lot of inspiration for the style of the film came from traditional drawing and printmaking, especially lino print. This film was created to promote an understanding of a neglected group in our society. It was also crucial to feature unique and underrepresented struggles and triumphs that this group can relate to. Representation is important, and if we want to continue making inviting and influential cinema, we can’t keep telling the same stories.
