I am a designer for film specialising in costume and production design. I make use of traditional and digital illustration techniques throughout my process to articulate my vision. In my most recent project, I undertook the task of reimagining Brian De Palma's iconic 1972 film, 'Carrie,' by recontextualizing the narrative against the backdrop of 1970’s Dublin. My design process involves visual research through notebooking and illustration along with script breakdown. After designing each character and physically making/sewing Carrie's Prom dress, I decided I wanted to go a step further and make the penultimate prom scene. I collaborated with a cinematographer, (Katelyn Markham O' Halloran) to bring my vision to life through a short video piece. I find immense joy in pushing the boundaries of my craft, constantly seeking new ways to blend different art forms and storytelling techniques.
