Working in a nursing home, I am constantly observing the deterioration of cognition in the residents. With research into Dementia and sequences, my work depicts the complexity of the mind through rope. My work delves into my interest in memory loss by exploring ideas relating to space, tension and interconnection. I focus on images of rope as I think they can metaphorically represent the tension and weight within the mind and resemble neural pathways. With my practice, I hope to raise uncertainty and reinforce imagination.
