My collection is inspired by my grandmother’s upbringing in Ireland in the 1930’s, her nursing career in England in the 1950’s and her family life in America in the 1960’s. The spec is achieved by re-creating her nurse’s uniform, while using stand work, innovative cut and layering, and combining neoprene and wool fabrics to build the story on top of the garments, celebrating her life Journey.
