My work explores the imaginary experience of the dreamscape; a night portal into the psyche experienced in the presence of the moon. The natural world's untamed freedom and wholeness is employed as a means to depict ethereal spaces that hold still the fleeting state of flux between wakefulness and sleep, the landscape acting as a mirror for the psychological terrain. The vastness of an open landscape is mimetic of the deep internal mechanisms that push our lives in certain directions. Rooted in Carl Jung's ideas surrounding dream analysis and how the decryption of the unconscious can act as a catalyst for self awareness and transition towards a state of internal harmony, the dreamscape here is presented as a place of tranquillity. The work prolongs the slumbered brush with deep intuition that has a habit of disintegrating in the morning light.
