My name is Bella Quinn, I am a recent graduate from IADT with a BA in Animation. My passion for art is mainly expressed through the mediums of watercolour, gouache, coloured pencils and ink. I directed my final year film ‘My Sister’s Nature’, and incorporated my love for these mediums through the film’s backgrounds. The film itself is an exploration of love and loss, telling the story of two identical twins living together on a farm. When one is lured into darkness, the other must decide whether to join her sister or let her go. One of my proudest achievements is my book, "Little Reverie," which I completed during my gap year before college. It is a silent narrative that blends reality with alternate realms, inviting viewers to lose themselves in its visual storytelling. The absence of dialogue or captions allows each reader to bring their own experiences and interpretations to the story. The illustrations within this book are done entirely with watercolour and gouache. Through my art, whether it is animations or illustrations, I aim to create a sense of wonder and introspection. I am fascinated with the quiet moments of life, the melancholy and serenity within them.
