My work centres on the the west of Ireland where I have now lived for more than a decade. It explores my connection to place. My most recent body of work, Fieldworks (2023) is an ongoing project which utilises walking as a tool of exploration to enable a deeper engagement with the land offering the possibility to reach beneath the surface through walking myself into place. Walking allows me to simultaneously read and write the landscape, to shape and attend to those spaces around me and interact with, as well as "intervene in their continuous becoming by acting in the here and now of their transformation" (Careri, 2002: 32).
