My work focuses on the relationship between the Irish Landscape and the spectator. By giving new life and purpose to found materials using oils and mediums I depict a fragmented walk through my daily life. Through this process, I aim to evoke feelings of the sublime and to prompt the viewer to contemplate their own psychological relationship to their personal space and environment. My Graduate Show 'Before We Knew About The Clouds, was primarily inspired by the Wicklow Mountains where I grew up. As the Irish landscape began to feature more on-screen with features such as Martin McDonagh's 'Banshees of Iniserin' (2022) and Emma Donoghue's ' The Wonder (2022), the temporality of the set became an important motif within my work.
