Within my practice I explore the themes of impermanence and memory. My art is centered on objects and their contexts. An inanimate object can contain emotional memory and act as a vehicle to other times and places. I select key objects to act as a catalyst for memories. In painting them I hope I am creating another catalytic object – a means of exploring transience and history.
