My work takes the form of simple gestures and actions captured on video. These videos attempt to ask what happens to an action in which we are normally fluent when the veil of privacy is lifted. As such, the presence of the camera is a key concept in the work. As it records the subject, it also makes them perform for it. In this way, the camera can be seen as both documenter and distorter.
