I am interested in ancient Irish history and the Irish language which is influenced by my upbringing in the heritage town of Trim in County Meath. I like to make work which responds to this and the practice of storytelling that Irish people are so well known for.
Immersing myself in the outdoors, I am drawn to textures that occur naturally within nature and the landscape, which I apply to my digital work to give it life and depth. I am not bound to one style as I like to explore new mediums and experiment in my practice at any chance! This was furthered when I spent time at the Design West summer school in Galway and worked with new materials, such as found wood and reused acrylic.
I have exhibited at 'Hens Teeth' in Dublin and the 'Centre for Contemporary Art', Derry."
