I explore line as a mark on my canvas using acrylic paint and large brushes. My aim is to manipulate this line and form new marks in my work. I allow the marks to make their own abstract space within the gestural marks I create.
In each absatract space I try to push the marks far enough to suggest a presence or inhabitance on the canvas. By manipulating the line, I fundamentally create imagery.
