I am a multi-disciplinary artist from Dublin, Ireland, I delve deeply into the exploration of working class identity and lived experiences within my artistic practice. Drawing from my personal history and observations of larger socio political landscapes, my research navigates the history of societal narratives that shape our understanding of self and community. Employing a diverse range of media and sculptural techniques, I create immersive artworks that prompt viewers to reflect on their place within the broader social fabric. Through my creative lens, I show the nuances of class dynamics, challenges prevailing stereotypes, and invite contemplation on the complex interplay between individual identity and collective consciousness. Central to my artistic ethos is the use of familiar objects sourced from everyday life, making my work with a sense of accessibility and relatability. By repurposing mundane objects and exploring the cultural significance embedded within them, I highlight the ordinary, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship with the material world. My practice extends beyond inquiry and serves as a lens through which to survey the history of the Irish landscape and cultural heritage. Through observation and analysis, I show the layers of meaning buried within the urban landscape.
