I recently graduated with first class honours MA in Communication Design (NCAD). Before that, I studied at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design, London in (MA Performance Design and Practice, 2010) and NCAD (BA Fine Art Printmaking, 2007). Between and during studies, I have worked freelance in a number of different creative industries.
One of my favourite parts of the design process has always been the excavation of human motivations and reactions, figuring out ways to improve communications and inspire better conversations. I delight in taking big issues, breaking them down and re-assembling them in ways that make more sense and can reach more people. My most recent MA placed an emphasis on design research and it's something I uncovered a real skill for.
I'm interested in pursuing design research in the areas of public health and social awareness.
