The work is based around isolation and the boxes we trap ourselves in. Through the contracts we sign, the media we surround ourselves in and the people we choose to listen to.
But I wanted them to be hopeful paintings. I wanted to give people hope, I wanted to give myself hope and say:
“you’re not trapped, you are not a box. Everyone has their own hopes and dreams. Go grab yours, it’s there."
