The relationship between painting, architecture and music is a strong and reoccurring theme in my painting practice. The three share many similarities, which I explore through abstracted forms, shapes and colours that I have extracted from my surrounding environments; architecturally and musically; consciously and subconsciously. My paintings take on an unusual form, with their centre removed and reinserted in a different position, eg; directly inserted, pushed backwards or protruding forward. This unusual form reflects the structural elements of architecture, painting and music, further unifying the three.
