I draw influence from abstract and geometric shapes found within brutalist architecture to inspire surface pattern designs focusing on interiors. My design aesthetic explores how these block shapes complement unusual colour combinations and textures found within first-hand photography, gives my work a contemporary twist. Process of design incorporates mixed media to produce mark making and collages inspired by architectural features. I am dedicated and passionate to produce innovative design work combined with the knowledge of various screen-printing techniques, dyeing processes and laser cutting to portray texture, shape, colour, and 3D elements, encapsulating my experimental ability and creativity. Evoking a modern playfulness with uniformity, designs are distinctive and complementary in interior settings and individually provide unique statements especially suited for all forms of surface pattern design.
