I am a Norwegian filmmaker and photographer who’s been taking photos for more than half my life. The series of photos comes from the short documentary «Dublin is Kinky» directed by Greg Smyth Bernes, produced by Ava Reihill, cinematography by Tasneem Abdalmoutalib, sound design by Atlanta Hennessy and editing is by me, Kine Sophie Steffensen.Every image was shot in black and white since it was both mine and the directors wish to convey a dramatic look of black on white background and black rubber shimmering silhouettes, in other words wanted to focus on the shape of the human male form in all its leathery / rubbery glory. Through this documentary and these stills, we are invited into a space of self-discovery and acceptance as we are privy to the love between friends and this unique family. It is my pleasure to show how comfortable and open all of these people were on set, showing us the tenderness under the rubber and leather.
