As a textile print designer, I wanted to capture the timeless beauty, intricacy, and splendour that we find in nature. This have been the sources of inspiration behind this collection.Using natural dyes and inks derived from these plants, the work is infused with the range of colours and fresh smells provided naturally by these materials. Natural cotton and linenare used for my screen-printed pieces alongside water-based inks. Furthermore, for digital prints, eco- cotton and sustainable print methods are used. Fine line botanical drawings are featured as well as organic mark making, using leaves, sticks and pinecones.This brings nature into the home in a thoughtful, elegant, and fresh way through honouring native Irish flora.
