Within my work I utilise a range of mediums, across textiles, paint and media. Interested mainly by the politics of the human condition, in this collection I harness a very personal celebration of the turbulence that comes from girlhood to womanhood. In the catholic climate that is Ireland I enjoy exploring how these preconceived notions of human behaviour still linger, through my expression of a shameless humility. 'Mansized' the collection embraces a unapologetically crude expression of femininity that takes up space in an act of defiance. Reclaiming the female nude as a form of empowerment.
