In 2009, after years of conspiring with my siblings, we convinced our parents to get a puppy. At eight years old I had no idea how big of an impact this little papillon would have on me for the next fourteen years. My final year project revolves around the disappearance of my dog Rocco last summer. In my practice, I focus mainly on animation and motion graphics. My love of creating started with traditional mediums of drawing and painting. This led me to adopt a multimedia approach to my work, combining traditional and digital techniques. Experimenting with materials in this way creates a tactile, handmade look that feels comforting and nostalgic. Rocco had been such a constant in my life. Since my early childhood, he felt immortal which unfortunately is not the case. My work aims to commemorate and in a sense immortalise Rocco through multiple styles of animation.
