I am a 23-year-old artist based between Kildare and Dublin. My practice is mainly a studio painting practice that focuses on existential thought and re-presenting the world in truthful and resonant ways. The work balances outside of the literal and has personal connections to queer experience. The image-making and paintings flow between abstract landscape and self-portraiture. Alongside this painting practice, I have developed a writing engagement that fights with and marries to the imagery. My work hopes to find the portals of beauty in the aporic existence of struggle and complex blends of the whole.
