Haptic, ‘the perception of objects by touch’.
Materials with their endless possibilities have a magnetic attraction for me with a focus on sewing and painting.
Before painting I use photography and drawing as a physical thinking tool to feed the haptic sense. This body of work is driven by the tactile qualities of paint and fabrics by exploring materials through the practice of painting.
