My passion for handcrafting and material culture is the main inspiration behind my work. My weaving practice is driven by the slow ritualistic processes that have been passed down through generations and the celebration of natural materials used for centuries. I aspire to reimagine, and at the same time encapsulate the essence of folklore design. I'm very Inspired by the captivating folklore rituals both visually and conceptually. My work blurs the lines between functional design, craft and art. I'm committed to creating something special and beyond a product. I want to think that my designs represent a journey of experimentation, research, and play — a complete embrace of the ritual of making. Every naturally dyed colour, every warp and weft thread, every knot and hand stitch, every piece of hand-spun bouclé and brushed flax, reflects love and appreciation for craftsmanship in a very personal way.
