Mary-Joan O' Sullivan’s work explores the relationship between absence and the body. Her photographs are based on objects leaving traces on the human form which open a unique poetic vein. By contesting the division between the realm of memory and the realm of experience, she absorbs the tradition of remembrance art into daily practice.
