The Last Tree is a 3D animated account of the last tree on Earth.
The daily routine of the tree’s elderly attendant is documented by her struggle to protect the habitat against a harsh environment. A violent storm threatens this last natural sanctuary. A race against time where she must prepare for the worst.
A de-saturated colour palette describes the landscape’s absence of life, but contrary to this a playful ‘toy box’ animation style has been incorporated.
The lengths to which she goes in the face of such great adversity put into question our actions on climate change today. As such, major action at the very end could be prevented with so little in the beginning.
