Locks, lineage, loops and layers, this is a tale of sorts, a hairy one. The raffia, which is akin to disheveled hair, has the range of tones evident in lighter tresses. When divided, it gives varying widths, with the stray strands at the base resembling split ends. The loose ends are never cut or hidden within the work as hair is difficult to tame and invariably escapes its confines.
