As a socially engaged, research driven designer, I aim to not only create solutions but also to produce discussions, reflections and behavioural change.
My final year project, Koospraten, is an example of this. Koospraten is an automat that collects anonymous stories about sexual experiences and replays them in order to share valuable lessons.
Our culture and media is hyper-sexualised in an unrealistic way, whereas talking about sex is often stigmatised and the topic is poorly covered in school.
As a result, there are many expectations, pressures, and misconceptions, making it difficult to create a space to explore and talk about sex without judgement.
Koospraten will travel to different colleges, bars and festivals and the stories will be shared on an online platform in order to start conversations about sex in everyday places.
Koospraten is about giving a platform to real, diverse stories, breaking down shame and starting important conversations in everyday places.
