Within my work, I often present 'Rhys' as the subject, a non-binary queer individual. I see myself as both creator and subject within my work. By combining various digital elements with filmed performance clips, I hope to create an on going dialogue between myself and an audience member, welcoming them into a queer-coded world of my own identity; in the hopes that it stirs conversation within others about their own notions of gender, sex and the taboo, to invite a viewer into a space where they are welcome to question and consider what many consider foundational elements of society.
