I am based in the Chorca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht of the Dingle Peninsula. Working with a documentary-style approach to the creative process, and a phenomenological approach to installation and presentation, I explore the ways in which we make sense of ourselves and the world around us. A large interest of mine is the nature of the creative imagination and the capacity of arts practices to facilitate change – my research is based in cultural anthropology and psychology, and is often focused on autonomy, connection, and wellbeing, extending to concerns around the function of art and role of the artist in the context of community wellbeing. I strive towards cultivating a sense of reclamation, interconnection, empowerment, and agency across my work and life.
