My experimental and curious practice is a navigation through childhood memory, storytelling and lived experience. These themes are explored through video, drawing, soft textiles and sculptural forms. Intrigued by the material our mind holds on to, my work reimagines objects, spaces & stories that hold personal significance. For my grad show installation '16VA', time and scale are played with and distorted; leaving you somewhere between fact and fantasy. The lines dividing interior and exterior are broken down, creating an operatic, immersive environment. A dream-like landscape which awakens our imagination as we attempt to put the pieces of the puzzle together. A merging of both recognisable and uncanny forms. The structure of this surreal landscape is defined by memory.
