In my work, I collaborate with materials as I investigate the disintegration inherent in our fragile, ephemeral existence that we find both grotesque and fascinating. The lines, twists and folds encountered when navigating the strengths and weaknesses of a material bring a dynamic transformation to the fluid and the static as they impose their own form upon form. The move towards entropy is intrinsic to the world. Everything ends, nothing lasts forever. This is a fundamental paradox of living. We exist in a universe in which order and disorder dance together on the edge of chaos.
