Hi my name is Tim Coffey. I am originally from Westport. Co. Mayo which is where I began my interest in the jewellery trade.
My work includes symmetrical designs and bespoke pieces made up of precious metals including accentuated textures, high polished reflective surfaces with the purpose of displaying hidden features in the piece and various types of gemstone sizes, colours and cuts. Some techniques are used such as accurately scoring and folding, filing, hand piercing and gemstone setting in precious metals. I have worked with a variety of skilled professional goldsmiths and silversmiths in the jewellery trade.
