My work celebrates the human spirit and nature and considers the interplay between the two. I am very drawn to spiritual themes which uplift. I explore these themes through sculpture and ceramics and tend towards a figurative style. I enjoy clay-modelling and drawing and so I move between 3d and 2d work. Ceramics is my main medium though I have worked in other mediums such as bronze and fiberglass. I have a keen interest in Raku as a ceramic decorative style and have built a Raku kiln to experiment with this technique further. I completed a foundation year in Fine Art at Kinsale College and went on to do a degree at The Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork in Contemporary Applied Art (Ceramics, Glass and Textiles, majoring in ceramics) in 2023. I have exhibited at professional exhibitions such as Richard Scott’s annual sculpture exhibition, regularly since embarking on a career in the arts.
