The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, in association with Dark Mofo, present ‘Beyond Woop Woop’, an exhibition of paintings by John Kelly. Created in the open Antarctic air, these paintings represent Kelly’s ventures to isolated locations in extreme, freezing conditions. In the series, Kelly pushes his body and artistic endurance to the limit creating a physically demanding contribution to painting.
