The Blue House Gallery is run by artists for artists, with an annual season from Easter to September. In July, Upstairs@BlueHouse presents ‘Design in West Cork’, bringing together locally based artists including ceramicists Cormac Boydell, Etain Hickey and Jim Turner; painters John Doherty, Alyn Fenn, Ann Martin and Keith Payne; printmaker Brian Lalor; sculptors Holger Lönze and James MacCarthy; and photographers Ulli Crespo, John Minihan, Sheena Jolley and Chris O’Dell. The final exhibition of the season will be ‘Young Contemporaries’, a showcase for emerging talent.
