In an exhibition at the McKenna Gallery, the plein air landscapes of Cornelius Browne capture the ever-shifting atmosphere and light of West Donegal. Taking in country lanes, islands, wind and rain, boats, cows, ruins, cottages, trees, fields, sea and sky, these paintings also explore the experience of painting outside and how, in this environment, the artist becomes another element in the landscape.
