In ‘Limerick and the Rising’, one of two 1916 Rising exhibitions at the Hunt Museum, the Daly Collection from the Glucksman Library at the University of Limerick are displayed. Mainly consisting of letters, the collection illustrates one Limerick family’s direct involvement with the Rising. Later in the Spring, the Museum hosts ‘A Terrible Beauty: Centennial Reflection by Robert Ballagh’. The Rising has long been a source of inspiration for Ballagh, and this selection of work reflects on the challenges and legacy of the rebellion.
