Down Arts Centre hosts exhibitions by Kieron Black and the North Armagh Artists Collective (NAAC). A collection of new paintings in watercolour, ‘In Travel’ is inspired by Black’s travels in Ireland and Europe. In the works, Black seeks to capture the movement and experience of travel, using the layering process of watercolour painting as a means of expression. The NAAC was founded in 2010, with the intention of offering a supportive environment for emerging artists outside of Belfast. In ‘Maelstrom’, the diverse talents of the collective will be shown, encompassing work in textiles, installation, illustration, sculpture, and paint.
In Travel: 4 March – 2 April
Maelstrom: 8 – 30 April
