Fourteen reproductions of the Journals of the Houses of Lords and Commons of the old Irish Parliament which were destroyed in a fire during the Irish Civil War will be on display in Dublin Castle. The reproductions were made possible by the work of US book collector, Philip Maddock and British bookbinder, Trevor Lloyd using rubbings and photographs of the originals by bookbinder Sir Edward Sullivan in the late 19th century. Also on display are the finishing tools commissioned for the project, as well as examples of 18th-century Irish bindings and printed editions of the Lords and Commons Journals in presentation bindings.
