The 40th Clifden Arts Festival will showcase a series of exhibitions in its visual arts programme. Recent work by Mick O’Dea, RHA President, will be the festival’s central exhibition showing both portrait and landscape work. A group exhibition, ‘Aspects of Connemara’, includes paintings by Michael Cullen, Reingard Gahan, and Trish Findlater. Norbert Stolze shows monochrome portraits in ‘Pencil Massacre’, while Imelda Healy exhibits portraits and landscapes. Following three exhibitions in America this year, Yvonne King returns to Clifden with her richly coloured canvases. Finally, the popular Clifden Arts Trail will guide visitors through the town’s artistic riches.
