Father and daughter, Brian and Lisa Ballard, jointly exhibit a series of recent paintings at the Hamilton Gallery, Sligo, in an exhibition entitled ‘Luminance’. Both artists are concerned with colour: with Lisa exploring colour and light through landscape paintings, creating images that reflect temporal and fleeting experiences, while Brain uses contrasting colours and textures to convey everyday subjects.
