The Model, Sligo presents three concurrent displays, all of which consider how collections function as repositories of knowledge and how they communicate the concerns of past civilisations to contemporary minds. The first of these will show works from contemporary artists, featuring Ed Atkins, Taus Makhacheva, Susan Hiller and Elizabeth Price. Alongside this, one hundred works from the Niland Collection will be gathered in an experimental ‘salon, hang’, while the third element will be drawn from the idiosyncratic ‘living’ collection of curator
