The 2019 Earigail Arts Festival at the Regional Cultural Centre in Letterkenny is based around the theme of ‘Atlantic shores’. A highlight of the programme is ‘Ealaín ón gCladach: Art from the Shore’, an exhibition by Cathal McGinley showing works across the media of painting, drawing, sculpture and film. The centre also has a group exhibition – with works drawn from the Arts Council, Glebe Gallery and Donegal County Council collections – featuring work by Paul Henry, Katrina Quill and Laura Fitzgerald. A series of watercolours and illustrations of traditional boats from the Dónal Mac Polin Collection will be on show at the Donegal County Museum, and An Grianan Theatre has ‘Toraí Beo’, a group exhibition of Tory Island painters. At the Glebe Gallery, the exhibition ‘21st Century Ireland in 21 Artworks’ features artworks selected by art critic Cristín Leach. Image: Aideen Barry at The Glebe Gallery
