The 2019 Belfast Photo Festival looks at the new era of photography, where the medium can no longer be taken at face value. In this posttruth age, it questions the ability of the camera to depict the truth and the untruthful, and shows how images can be manipulated. An exhibition, ‘Truth or Lies’, takes place, in collaboration with the festival, at the Golden Thread Gallery. It features work by several international photographers, including Max Pinckers (USA), Daniel Stier (Germany) and Hiroshi Nomura (Japan). Image: Sean Jackson at Belfast Photo Festival
