The tenth annual Skibbereen Arts Festival launches with a street party on the theme of ‘moondance’, marking fifty years since the first lunar landing, and which is part of a programme of theatre, music, poetry and fine art activities. Catherine Hammond will curate ‘Haven to Haven: Paintings and Prints’, an exhibition of work by Donald Teskey that draws on the artist’s visits to West Cork over the past two decades. The Uillinn West Cork Arts Centre also participates in the festival (see June Diary) and an Arts Trail takes visitors to pop-up galleries throughout the town. Image: Donald Teskey
