‘Old Boots and Other Stories’, an exhibition of paintings in the Kenny Gallery by Liam Jones shows works that move from small detail – the door of a shed – to wide panoramas in Connemara. Originally from Mayo, the artist returned to painting the West of Ireland landscape after travelling widely in Europe and America, and seeks to capture the ever-changing moods and light of the landscape.
